Beautiful handmade Dhokra Brass earrings with a paisley motif, by Zola, India.
These beautiful brass earrings are made using the ancient craft of Dhokra metal casting, using the lost-wax casting technique. Lost wax technique is used to cast beautiful designs on lamps, boxes, and to create tribal figures and Gods and Goddess. The motifs are mostly inspired by Indian folk culture.
Dhokra metal casting of Orissa, India, is a typical tribal art form and usually a lineage craft. We partner with Zola India who design and work directly with the tribal crafts people in India, in an effort to preserve these ancient traditions, and translate them into modern forms for our customers.
